Business Integrity

At all times we conduct ourselves with integrity. This means:

  • Adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Providing timely and accurate information regarding our business activities and results equally to all shareholders, market participants and regulators
  • Setting out procedures for all employees, directors, partners and service providers to adhere to when trading in Aura and any associated securities
  • Setting out in our Code of Conduct how we expect our employees, directors, partners and service providers to conduct business activities

Respect, Diversity and Inclusion

We are committed to responsible environmental management. Amongst other things, this means:

  • Identifying, minimising and, where possible, eliminating environmental impacts from our activities
  • Protecting biodiversity values by avoiding disturbance to critical habitats
  • Avoiding pollutant release to the air and waterways
  • Not using natural water resources to the detriment of other uses such as farming, recreational activity and environmental allocation

Regional Employment and Enterprise

Wherever possible we seek to contribute to local and regional development through:

  • Employing as many qualified local people as possible for available positions
  • Providing work-readiness assistance to local people who may need encouragement to take up available positions
  • As a matter of preference contracting locally based businesses who can provide the services and supplies we need
  • Working with governments to protect and enhance shared access to civic infrastructure that supports local amenity and our business activities

Health, Safety and Wellbeing

We are committed to ensuring our employees, contractors and affected community members can work and live in a safe and healthy way. We do this by:

  • Having Board members and Senior Executives act as champions of effective health and safety management
  • Having all workforce members actively participate in identifying, eliminating, and controlling health and safety exposures
  • Maintaining a health and safety management system that has measurable objectives and targets
  • Providing the necessary education, training, equipment, resources, information and encouragement to ensure a healthy and safe workplace
  • Promoting open consultation on all health and safety matters with our workforce and people from affected communities
  • Having emergency response plans and testing them annually
  • Supporting the rehabilitation and return to work of workforce members following any illness or injury

  • Respecting people affected by our activities right to be safe and healthy, to have their livelihoods, clean air, water and land protected, and to preserve and celebrate their cultural heritage

Climate and Energy Transition

We are committed to climate change mitigation and energy source transition by:

  • Exploring for and developing uranium resources as a non-GHG emitting energy source
  • Procuring as much energy as possible from non-greenhouse gas (GHG) emitting sources
  • Adopting energy-efficient technologies that reduce energy consumption
  • Minimising GHG emissions from our business activities
  • Minimising the clearance of vegetation
  • As a last resort employing GHG offsets
  • Planning resilient infrastructure and preparing for extreme weather events
